  You are picked by our guide either at Dar es Salaam airport or from your hotel for safari briefing and then immediately drive south to Selous Game Reserve which is approximately five hours drive from Dar es Salaam depending on the road conditions. On arrival you start with a late afternoon boat Safari in Rufiji Riveror afternoon game drives. Overnight at Lodge or Tented Camp on Full Board.

  Start the day with morning game drives with packed lunch boxes you explore more of selous game reserve with your picnic lunch in the site your guide will select for you and you continue with afternoon game drives and then return back to Lodge or Tented Camp for overnight on Full Board.

  Selous Game reserve and Dar es Salaam

  Start the day with very early morning game drives and return to your Lodge or Tented Camp for your late breakfast. After your breakfast you will drive back to Dar es salaam and on arrive you will be drooped at Dar es Salaam airport or at your hotel with an option of being transferred to Mtemere Airstrip for your morning flight to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. Selous Game Reserve covers 5% of Tanzania’s total land area and is approximately 45,000sq km. Selous is Africa’s largest wildlife reserve and Tanzania’s most extensive protected area. Selous provides shelter of large numbers of elephants, big populations of buffaloes, wild dogs, lions, crocodiles and hippos in the mighty Rufiji River, also has a rich variety of birdlife and some of Tanzania’s last remaining black Rhinos The reserve is named after the one of the famous British Explorer Frederick Courteney Selous who was killed in the reserve during WWI.
