Did you know that Zanzibar nature is full of giants? The huge coconut crabs come out at night and can be seen especially in Chumbe Island. Whales and whale sharks can be spotted at the sea. And while not huge, the indigenous Red Colobus monkeys are always present in the Jozani forest.

Jozani Forest
Jozani Forest is best known for its red colobus monkeys, which are endemic to Zanzibar. After visiting the red colobus, you will walk across to the Pete-Jozani Mangrove Boardwalk.

Full Day Cruise

Chumbe Island
This is a one day tour in Chumbe Island, one of the best snorkeling and nature spots in Zanzibar. You get to snorkel in the protected Chumbe marine park. This tour is a bit of luxury, with a delicious three course meal.

Ole Village Tour
Ruins, cooking, fishing, handicrafts and fruit bats. This is a full day in the middle of Pemba Island with Kidike Environmental Conservation Club at the village of Mjini Ole. The villagers will show their traditions and customs of their every day life.

Misali Island
Misali’s treasure is its rich ecosystem, which boasts 42 types of corals, over 300 species of fish, a rare subspecies of vervet monkeys, rarely seen coconut crabs and a nesting site for green and hawksbill turtles. Snorkeling here is breath-taking!

Ngezi National Park
Beautiful Ngezi National Park is a place where you can find species such as monkeys, bush babies, fruit bats, all different kinds of birds, flowers, spices and natural lakes. This is the only large patch of tropical forest located on the northwestern corner of Pemba.
